In his article in May's Community Practitioner Tam Fry wrote that the Child Growth Foundation's Breast from Birth Charts should be regarded as 'consultative' pending agreement from all the Royal Colleges that they could be introduced as working charts. He referred in particular to an audit on them as being conditional to their acceptance by the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (RCPCH).

Following a meeting of the Creche's Growth Chart Working Group the audit no longer became a condition and the charts needed no longer to be consultative. Though wording accompanying the charts may in time be amended by the Group, they could be purchased like any other current 9-centile chart.
